Our "A5A series" fiber positioners have five degrees of freedom. The positioner employs three precision linear stages for X, Y and Z-axes and a kinematic mount for precision tilt adjustments in two planes.
For linear stages, precision, preloaded rolling contact ball bearing guideways are used for frictionless and stick-slip free positioning. The device is constructed in aluminium alloy and finished by black anodizing.

Note: Fiber chocks to hold fibers having more than 0.2 mm diameter are provided with the positioner on request.
