Micro manipulator consists of four linear stages, two in X and Y direction and two stages in Z direction which is at 45 degree to X and Y plane. Z stage is built using a coarse stage with rack and pinion drive and a fine stage with leadscrew drive. Probe holding facility is provided on Z stage. These stages can be mounted on a optical breadboard with the help of post and post base. These micro manipulators find application in life science research as well.
